During the entire Congress, attire will be informal.



By plane:

From the international airport in the Netherlands,  Schiphol,  every 30 minutes a direct train leaves to Nijmegen, the journey takes 1,5 hours. Find the train times and prices at the website of NS. Alternatively, it is possible to arrange a taxi in advance via Shiphol Travel Taxi. This service also works for other airports in the Netherlands. 

Other international airports closest to Nijmegen are: Eindhoven Airport (Netherlands) Düsseldorf Airport (Germany) and Weeze Airport (Germany).

From Eindhoven, every 15 minutes a train leaves to Nijmegen (change in 's-Hertogenbosch).

From Düsseldorf Airport every 2 hours a train leaves to Nijmegen (change in Duisburg and Arnhem).

 From Weeze Airport a shuttle bus leaves to Nijmegen (the ride takes 45 minutes, € 15 one way).

By international train:

From Germany:
Take the international line from Cologne/Düsseldorf to Amsterdam as far as Arnhem.
From Hannover/Osnabrück, you change trains in Deventer.
From France/Belgium:
Take the train to Roosendaal for direct connections to Nijmegen.

Nijmegen is considered to be the oldest city in the Netherlands. Is an interesting mix between old and new; historic buildings are interspersed with fine examples of modern architecture.

It is located in the east of the Netherlands, on a range of hills near the River Waal.
Nijmegen has four train stations: Nijmegen, Nijmegen Dukenburg, Nijmegen Heyendaal and Nijmegen Lent. The central station is connected to the national Intercity network. The bus company Breng (a subsidiary of Connexxion) operates the city buses in the Arnhem-Nijmegen metropolitan area.


There is an underground car park opposite the hospital main entrance. The parking costs are 1,60 € per hour with a maximum of 8 €  a day.



Aan application will be made to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Institution (EACCME) of The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). Further details will be made available on the Congress website.



Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation, to enable them to make their arrangements, should contact the Secretariat.  It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa and does not imply a commitment from the Congress organizers to provide any financial support or scheduling of presentations.



The registration fees do not include the insurance of participants against personal accidents, sickness, and cancellations by any party, theft, loss or damage to personal possessions. Participants are advised to take out adequate personal insurance to cover travel, accommodation, cancellation and personal effects.
